Since Google Apps for Education launched in October of 2006, the free suite of online tools has seen great growth in the education world. And for many good reasons: Easy to use, powerful, collaborative, cloud-based, constantly improved and updated, secure, modular, and of course free.

In Ohio, where budgets are often tight and getting tighter, Google Apps has proved to be a great fit for many districts. Additionally Ohio educators have been quick to share and spread their use of Google Apps through many conferences and training opportunities including the Ohio Educational Technology Conference, ITIP's Ohio Goes Google Conference, Akron's NEOTech Conference, and many more across the state.

Currently at least 66 schools, districts, and other educational institutions across Ohio have "Gone Google" (according to those who have submitted their information to this site, and as of April 11, 2012).  When viewed on a map the majority of the Google Apps schools can be found along and north of Interstate 71, running from Cincinnati through Columbus and up to Cleveland.

If your school is using Google Apps, be sure to add your information to our growing list. Whether you are from Ohio, across the country, or even around the world, click here to use this form to submit your information.
