For those educators in the Ohio area, the upcoming 2012 Ohio Educational Technology Conference -  http://www.etech.ohio.gov/conference/ - will be offering a load of excellent sessions on Google Apps. Presenter: Eric Curts, North Canton City Schools Session Description: Google Apps for Education is a powerful suite of free web-based tools for schools including Gmail, Google Calendar, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms, Sites, Blogger, and more. Learn step by step how our district rolled out Google Apps to our staff and students, why we chose Google Apps, plus staff training, challenges faced, lessons learned, the benefits of cloud computing, practical examples of how staff and students are using Google Apps, and how we are saving money while expanding educational opportunities for everyone in our district.

We are also fortunate to have Jaime Casap from Google to present two keynote sessions.
Jaime Casap is an Education Evangelist at Google.  In his role on the Google Apps for Education Team, Jaime is responsible for evangelizing Google Apps to education institutions, especially in the K12 space. He is responsible for signing state level agreements with Oregon, Iowa, Colorado, and New York, bringing cloud based technology tools to millions of students and teachers in K12. He is also working with a number of Education Reform Organizations, bringing the technology perspective to improving education in the U.S.
