For those folks who have not switched to Google Apps yet, it looks like the setup process has just gotten easier. Google has now added a setup wizard to Google Apps that will show up in your administrative panel once you sign up. It looks like the wizard walks you through setting up accounts and groups, activating and migrating email, and activating services such as Docs and Calendar.
Hopefully this new wizard will make the process of "Going Google" even easier for schools.
